Need help with File Transfer for Meta Quest? Email info@baseopscloud.com and we'll get back to you. The app is free and there is no account to manage.
Getting started
- Connect the headset to your Mac with a USB-C data cable (some charge-only cables won't carry data).
- Put the headset on. In the USB connection prompt, choose File Transfer / MTP.
- Tap Allow when the headset asks to grant data access.
- The app shows the headset name and free/used storage once connected.
The app says “Waiting for device”
- Make sure the headset is unlocked and you tapped Allow on the in-headset prompt.
- Confirm the USB mode is File Transfer (MTP), not “Charge only”.
- Quit any other app that talks to the headset over USB (e.g. Android File Transfer) — only one app can use the MTP connection at a time.
- Try a different USB-C cable or port; reconnect the cable.
Transferring files
- Browse the headset's folders (Recordings, Screenshots, Movies, Downloads, and the rest of internal storage).
- Drag files or whole folders from your Mac onto the window to upload.
- Select multiple items for batch download or delete; you can move, rename, delete, and create folders on the headset.
- Large files over 4 GB transfer fine in both directions.
- A transfer in progress can be cancelled; queued transfers continue.
